Hello:
Welcome to my web page! I am looking forward to a wonderful year here in 2nd grade. I cannot wait to get to know the students and parents. It is a privilege to guide you through this 2017-2018 school year. Secong grade is a such a fun grade and we will enjoy learning how to be critical thinkers in math and reading and explore new concepts in science and social studies. Get ready for an adventure!
 
A little about me:
This will be my 12th year teaching in Taylor. My fifth year teaching at Pasemann. I grew up in Jarrell, Texas. I am married to my best friend James who is a coach and A.P. history teacher here in Taylor. We have 2 amazing kids. Breken is 11 and will be attending TMS. Anistin is 8 and will be in 3rd grade here at Pasemann. I love spending time with my family and friends. My family and I love to fish, take long rides, and bar-b-q. My goal is that your child grows and learns to be a better individual all around.

End of the Year Awards Assembly - May 24th

1st grade @ 8:45am 2nd grade @ 9:30am 3rd grade @ 10:15am You are welcome to park in the back and enter through the cafe. doors, however, if you want to check your child out early after the event you will need to drive to the front of the school and come check them out in the office.

STAAR Testing for 3rd grade - May 15th & 17th

NPE 3rd graders will be taking the STAAR Reading and STAAR Math test. NPE will be a closed campus on these 2 days - no visitors on campus.
 
Our class party is scheduled for Wednesday the 23rd from 1:00 - 2:00!
It was originally scheduled for 2:00 - 3:00, but the students must attend a bicycle safety program at that time.  A note is going home today:)
 
Please make sure to look in your child's folder!  I have sent home a note.  Please read it and complete the last page:)

Zumbathon - April 28th @ 9:00-11:00


 
Zumba for Alma April 28th from 9:00-11:00 in the NPE Cafeteria. First grade is holding a Zumbathon in honor of Alma Garcia. $5 donation to participate. All proceeds go to the NPE scholarship or to purchase books for the library in Alma's name.

Your students will be bringing home information regarding the campaign.
 

NPE Celebrating the 101st Day of School on Jan. 31st

The students at NPE will be celebrating the 101st day of school with a Popcorn and Pound Puppy Punch event. During the day students will be selling popcorn and punch for 50 cents each, using their math and leadership skills. All proceeds will be donated to the Taylor Animal Shelter.

Students will be taking individual pictures and class group pictures. All pictures will be pre-pay, look for info. coming home soon.

Family Bingo Night - Jan. 25th

Thursday - January 25th @ 6:30pm - NPE Cafe. Combined event with THJ! Pizza will be available at $1/slice, or bring your own dinner. We do have prizes! Bring your families for a fun, free event. We are looking for volunteers, so send us a message if you’d like to help!

Fundraiser Pick Up Info

The Pasemann PAT Believe Kids Fundraiser products will be here on Monday, Dec. 4th! There are three opportunities for you to pick up your orders: Dec. 4th @ 6:00pm-8:00pm, Dec. 5th @ 3:45pm-5:30pm, Dec. 6th @ 8:00am-10:00am. The pick-up location is at the PAT room next to the gym. Use the car-riders pick-up line and enter the school at that door. Orders must be singed for and will not be sent home with students. If you cannot make any of these times, call or text PAT at (940)867-6097.

Winter Book Fair Dec. 4th - 8th

Our Library will be holding a winter book fair the week of Dec. 4th - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00-4:00, Friday 8:00-12:00 and Late night Thursday from 5:00-7:00.

Christmas Bazaar - December 7th

Naomi Pasemann Elementary will be having it's annual Christmas Bazaar on Dec. 7th from 6:00-m to 8:00pm. The evening includes a bake sale, Santa pictures, book-fair and a 3rd grade performance.

Our class field trip to Elgin Farm is on Tuesday the 5th of December.  Please make sure to watch the weather and dress accordingly.

Please make sure reading logs, math, and agenda books are complete.

I will be sending home a Christmas party list next week.  Please look over it and see what you can do to help our class celebrate:)

Thanksgiving Holidays - Nov. 20th - 24th

Taylor ISD is offering opportunities for secondary students to earn credit in academic subjects and for elementary students to accelerate a grade level by passing the appropriate examinations for acceleration. Exams will be offered for all grade levels 1-5 and most TEKS-based courses in grades 6-12.                                         Registration Period: November 1-17, 2017                                             Test Dates: December 14-19, 2017 and January 9-11, 2018

Students will be out of school for the holidays and should return on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017

NPE Spring Book Fair - April 24th - 28th

NPE will hold a Spring Book Fair the week of April 24-28. Monday - Thursday 8:00-4:00; Friday 8:00-12:00; Tuesday late night 5:00-7:00
